Good location and nice beach. Thought parking in the winter season at 6 was expensive!
After a fair bit of research, we chose Putsborough car park to overnight and explore the area in our motorhome (the site was closed out of season!?!). Access to the car park is tight and hinderd by stupidly placed barriers. We were staggered to find it would cost 6 to park for the day or any part of or 25 overnight with no facilities! What a rip off! We parked, we walked, we left! A great area being exploited for profit.
I haven't used this site, but from the outside it looks pretty impressive. The views are so good there, many of the caravans have been sited hitch forward (must have been fun) towards the site edge to maximise the view. The site looks very clean and well cared for with a large central grass area devoid of caravans.
The beach is surrounding scenery is wonderful, however paying a flat rate of 8.50 for parking was a joke considering there was absolutely no organisation to it whatsoever, we came back to the car after a few hours to find ourselves about a 1/2 foot gap away from being completely blocked in by a wall of cars and vans parked/abandoned at random angles in random places.I'm sure it wouldn't be too difficult for one of the handful of parking attendants in the hut to guide people into some sort of grid system
An absolutely wonderful day out, brilliant little cafe gift shop. Ample parking space, well worth the drive down tiny lanes to get there. Very suitable for small children. Clean and tidy beach plenty of places to dispose of rubbish. Even has an optional beach clean scheme just two minutes out of your day to help keep the beach clean.
