Fantastic camp site we've been going there for about the last 30 years
Our favorite place to camp...ever! My wife and I have been to Lobb Fields for years but this was our first trip since having children. The pitch with electric hook-up was great value. Staff are always helpful. We were offered a family room key for 3 upon arrival which allowed us to shower and change as a family, a must after a day at the beach. As always the whole site is very well maintained and clean. The burger van on site serves a wide variety of food however was only serving curry on our first night so we opted for the world famous Squires fish and chips (look them up!) We opted for breakfast from the burger van which was very reasonable and cooked to your requirements. Both my wife and I already have wetsuits but we needed to hire some for the girls aged 2 and 4. We always try and support the on site surf hire shack at the entrance to Lobb Fields. We hired 2 wetsuits for 14...bargain! All in all...weather wasn't great but that's out of our control...everything that we could control was perfect. Thank you again Lobb we shall be back!
Lobb fields is mainly a caravan and electric site.It's fairly spacious and nice views of the hills but my pitch for 28 was small without space for my tent and extension easily.There's a kids play area which is nice The hideaway Cafe is great, and Andy is nice. But the menu for evenings doesn't really suit fussy kid eaters, so we couldn't really eat thereIt's the only place I have ever been that charges for freezing freeze blocks. 50p per block
Great well maintained family camptise. Staff were very helpful and made the site feel secure. It was not noisy in the evening and the kids enjoyed the park.They even helped jump start my car after a flat battery.Will be going back
Well run family friendly campsite. Exceptional food served by Andy at the on site Hideaway Cafe makes this campsite special - the Yakisoba Noodles were fantastic. Lovely beaches with great surf. Minor downside is that it is not possible to walk to the beach (busy narrow road no footpath) but that is nitpicking. Well worth a visit.
